The Plans You Make and the Days You Actually Get
Some of the best days aren't particularly well planned. They're the ones where the schedule changes, something unexpected happens and you end up remembering the detour.

I'm quite good at making plans.
Times, routes, what needs doing and roughly how everything should fit together. There is something reassuring about knowing what the day is supposed to look like.
Real life rarely reads the plan.
The version in your head
You can leave the house knowing exactly where you're going and what you're doing, only for the day to take a completely different direction.
Someone changes their mind. The weather gets involved. You're running late. Something catches your attention that wasn't part of the original plan.
And suddenly the carefully organised version of the day isn't happening anymore.
The bits you remember
The strange thing is that these are often the days that stick.
Not because everything went perfectly, but because something happened.
A conversation. A laugh. Somewhere you hadn't intended to go. One of those completely ordinary family moments that doesn't seem important until much later.
I'm slowly learning that a good day and a well-organised day aren't necessarily the same thing.
Sometimes you just have to see where it goes.
